Yungang Grottoes represent the superb Buddhist artistic achievements in ancient China from the 5th century to the 6th century. Among them, there are five famous grottoes built by monk Tanyao. With a neat overall layout and a harmonious and unified style, they are classic works produced in the first peak period of the development history of Chinese Buddhist art.
